AVALIAÇÃO DO ESTADO NUTRICIONAL EM PACIENTES EM TRATAMENTO QUIMIOTERÁPICO: ESTUDO LONGITUDINAL
O câncer e a terapia antineoplásica
repercutem de diversas formas no estado
nutricional do paciente. A quimioterapia é uma
das opções de terapia antineoplásica, que
pode influenciar significativamente a ingestão
alimentar e consequentemente o estado
nutricional do paciente. Objetivo do trabalho foi
caracterizar o estado nutricional dos pacientes
em tratamento quimioterápico e avaliar a
evolução do estado nutricional ao longo da
terapia antineoplásica. Quanto a metodologia
o estudo é transversal, analítico, retrospectivo,
longitudinal, com análise de prontuário e
fichas de atendimento nutricional de adultos
hospitalizados para tratamento quimioterapia no
Hospital de Câncer de Pernambuco entre agosto
2016 a março de 2018. Este estudo identificou a
presença de desnutrição em aproximadamente
metade dos pacientes no início do tratamento
quimioterápico, sendo que esta condição piora
ao longo do tratamento. A perda de peso e o
risco nutricional também foram condições
frequentes. Assim, torna-se primordial que
todos os pacientes sejam acompanhados e
monitorados durante o período do tratamento
quimioterápico para melhorar a resposta à
terapia antineoplásica.

Abstract:
Cancer and antineoplastic therapy have different repercussions on the
nutritional status of the patient. Chemotherapy is one of the options for antineoplastic
therapy, which can significantly influence food intake and consequently the nutritional
status of the patient. The objective of this study was to characterize the nutritional
status of patients undergoing chemotherapy and to evaluate the evolution of nutritional
status throughout the antineoplastic therapy. Regarding the methodology, the study is
transversal, analytical, retrospective, longitudinal, with an analysis of medical charts
and charts of nutritional care for hospitalized adults for chemotherapy treatment at
the Hospital de Câncer de Pernambuco between August 2016 and March 2018. This
study identified the presence of malnutrition in approximately half of the patients at
the beginning of the chemotherapy treatment, and this condition worsens throughout
the treatment. Weight loss and nutritional risk were also frequent conditions. Thus,
it is paramount that all patients are monitored and monitored during the course of
chemotherapy to improve the response to antineoplastic therapy
