AVALIAÇÃO DO EFEITO ALELOPÁTICO DE EXTRATO AQUOSO DE TIRIRICA SOBRE A GERMINAÇÃO DE SEMENTES DE CENOURA
Nos diversos ecossistemas, sejam
florestais ou agrícolas, ocorre a alelopatia, um
efeito benéfico ou maléfico de um organismo
sobre outro, mediante liberação de metabólitos
secundários. Esse fenômeno constitui uma
importante ferramenta para o manejo de plantas
indesejáveis. O presente trabalho objetivou
avaliar e identificar possíveis efeitos alelopáticos
de extrato aquoso de tiririca sobre a germinação
de sementes de cenoura. O delineamento
experimental foi inteiramente casualizado
envolvendo 2 tratamentos, com e sem extrato
e 4 repetições. As sementes foram avaliadas
quanto ao teor inicial de água, primeira contagem
de germinação, porcentagem de germinação,
índice de velocidade de germinação e tempo
médio de germinação. Para todas as variáveis
analisadas houve diferença estatística entre
os tratamentos com e sem extrato. O extrato
aquoso de tiririca exerceu efeito alelopático
negativo sobre a germinação de sementes de
cenoura.

Abstract:
In diverse ecosystems, whether
forest or agricultural, allelopathy occurs, a
beneficial or harmful effect of one organism
on another, through the release of secondary
metabolites. The phenomenon is a determining
factor in the process of community formation,
also serving as an important tool for agronomy,
since its use can promote the management
of undesirable plants, as well as maintaining
healthy crops and solving cases of crop failures.
The present work aimed to evaluate and to
identify possible allelopathic effects of aqueous
extract of tiririca on the germination of carrot
seeds. The experimental design was completely
randomized, involving 2 treatments, with and
without extract and 4 replicates. The seeds were evaluated for initial water content,
first germination count, germination percentage, germination speed index and average
germination time. The aqueous extract of tiririca exerted negative allelopathic effect on
the germination of carrot seeds
