AVALIAÇÃO DO DESENVOLVIMENTO INICIAL DE CULTIVARES DE FEIJÃO-CAUPI [Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.] ORIUNDAS DA REGIÃO OESTE DO PARÁ
Acompanhar as fases do desenvolvimento de uma planta é uma ferramenta eficaz de manejo, pois é possível identificar as necessidades da cultura. No presente estudo, o objetivo foi avaliar o desenvolvimento inicial de três cultivares de feijão-caupi [Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.]. O experimento foi implantado em DIC, utilizando três cultivares: roxinho (C1), manteiguinha (C2) e manteiguinha-preto (C3), com 7 repetições cada. Foram utilizados vasos de 5L, e aos 15, 30 e 40 dias após a semeadura (DAS) foram mensurados os parâmetros: altura de planta (AP), diâmetro caulinar (DC) e número de folhas (NF). Aos 40 DAS, utilizando metodologia destrutiva, foram avaliados: a massa fresca e seca do ramo principal (MFRP e MSRP), dos ramos secundários (MFRS e MSRS), da raiz (MFR e MSR) e dos nódulos (MFN e MSN), além do volume de raiz (VR) e do número de nódulos (NN). Durante todo o experimento, diariamente, também foi monitorada a fenologia. Observou-se que a duração dos estágios em dias foram: V1, V5 e V6 tiveram 1 dia cada; O V2, aproximadamente 5 dias; V3 e V4 apresentaram de 2 a 3 dias; os estágios V7 e V8 apresentaram variação de 3,14 a 4,86 dias e 4,29 a 4,86 dias, respectivamente; a C3 foi a primeira a atingir o estágio V9, tendo uma duração por cerca de 16 dias, enquanto a C1 e C2 apresentaram, aproximadamente, 12 dias. Constatou-se que nos parâmetros DC e NF, a C3 foi superior em todas as avaliações; e no parâmetro AP, a C2 apresentou valor superior. Em relação ao NN, a C3 apresentou um valor médio de 210,57. Para os parâmetros MFRP e MSRP, MFRS, MFR e MSR, MFN e MSN as cultivares não apresentaram diferenças estatísticas. No geral, as três cultivares avaliadas apresentaram um ciclo vegetativo de pelo menos 40 dias.

Abstract:
Monitoring the stages of development of a plant is an effective management tool, as it is possible to identify the needs of the crop. In the present study, the objective was to evaluate the initial development of three cultivars of cowpea [Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.]. The experiment was implemented in DIC, using three cultivars: roxinho (C1), manteiguinha (C2) and manteiguinha-preto (C3), with 7 replications each. Pots of 5L were used, and at 15, 30 and 40 days after sowing (DAS) the following parameters were measured: plant height (AP), stem diameter (DC) and number of leaves (NF). At 40 DAS, using destructive methodology, the following were evaluated: the fresh and dry mass of the main branch (MFRP and MSRP), of the secondary branches (MFRS and MSRS), of the root (MFR and MSR) and of the nodules (MFN and MSN), in addition to the root volume (VR) and the number of nodules (NN). Throughout the experiment, the phenology was also monitored daily. It was observed that the duration of the stages in days were: V1, V5 and V6 had 1 day each; The V2, approximately 5 days; V3 and V4 presented 2 to 3 days; stages V7 and V8 varied from 3.14 to 4.86 days and from 4.29 to 4.86 days, respectively; C3 was the first to reach stage V9, lasting about 16 days, while C1 and C2 lasted approximately 12 days. It was found that in the DC and NF parameters, C3 was superior in all evaluations; and in the AP parameter, C2 presented a higher value. Regarding NN, C3 presented an average value of 210.57. For the parameters MFRP and MSRP, MFRS, MFR and MSR, MFN and MSN, the cultivars did not show statistical differences. In general, the three evaluated cultivars had a vegetative cycle of at least 40 days.
