AVALIAÇÃO DO ACESSO AO TRANSPORTE PÚBLICO NO BAIRRO LAGOA AZUL LOCALIZADO EM NATAL/RN
O crescimento acelerado e desordenado do território urbano das cidades brasileiras produz uma centralização de atividades comerciais e valorização do solo, gerando como conseqüência uma expansão irregular nas extremidades da cidade, influenciando no sistema de transporte público coletivo que é oferecido à população. Com isso, o objetivo deste trabalho é mapear os equipamentos urbanos (pontos de ônibus) no bairro Lagoa Azul do município de Natal-RN a fim de analisar o seu raio de abrangência sobre esta área e gerar mapas temáticos com dados obtidos sobre essa área de estudo. Foram identificadas e localizadas as paradas de ônibus do referido bairro através do SIG Google Earth, bem como verificado a existência de abrigo em cada uma e em seguida usando as funções do SIG QGis versão 2.18 foi traçado o raio de influência de 300 metros de cada parada. Dessa forma, foi verificado que a expansão urbana irregular tem efeitos negativos sobre o acesso ao transporte público coletivo, uma vez que as paradas de ônibus não abrangem toda a área necessária para a população, sendo preciso de uma redistribuição desses equipamentos urbanos para atender a demanda desta expansão.

Abstract:
The accelerated and disordered growth of the urban territory of Brazilian cities produces a centralization of commercial activities and valorization of the soil, generating, as a consequence, an irregular expansion at the ends of the city, influencing the public transport system that is offered to the population. With this, the objective of this work is to map the urban equipment (bus stops) in the Lagoa Azul district of the city of Natal-RN in order to analyze its radius of coverage in this area and generate thematic maps with data obtained on that area. study. The bus stops in that neighborhood were identified and located through the GIS Google Earth, as well as the existence of shelter in each one, and then using the functions of the QGis SIG, version 2.18, the 300-meter radius of influence of each stop was traced. Thus, it was found that the irregular urban expansion has negative effects on access to public transport, since the bus stops do not cover the entire area necessary for the population, requiring a redistribution of these urban facilities to meet the demand this expansion.
