AVALIAÇÃO DE POTENCIAL DE GERAÇÃO DE ENERGIA ÉOLICA DE UMA INSTITUIÇÃO PÚBLICA: UM ESTUDO DE CASO DO INSTITUTO FEDERAL FLUMINENSE CAMPUS MACAÉ
O artigo apresenta uma avaliação de potencial de energia eólica por meio de um sistema de geração distribuída através do uso de aerogeradores. O objetivo principal foi investigar a hipótese da instalação de aerogeradores a partir da revisão de literatura em bases de pesquisa e banco de dados. Também foi avaliado a quantidade de energia eólica disponível no Instituto Federal Fluminense Campus Macaé. A metodologia utilizada neste trabalho foi caracterizada quanto aos objetivos como pesquisa descritiva pois tem como fim a descrição das características de determinada região e, também, caracterizada com pesquisa exploratória pois tem como objetivo proporcionar maior familiaridade com o problema, com vistas a torná-lo mais explícito ou a construir hipóteses. Verificou-se com a pesquisa que há evidências fortes que o Campus Macaé
possui um grande potencial de geração de energia elétrica, podendo suprir suas próprias necessidades energéticas através de fontes renováveis. A presente pesquisa também tem como objetivo amenizar o impacto energético, proporcionar uma redução dos custos com consumo de energia elétrica e contribuir para a sustentabilidade do país utilizando os recursos naturais de forma inteligente.

Abstract:
The article presents an evaluation of wind energy potential through a distributed generation system through the use of wind turbines. The main objective was to investigate the hypothesis of the installation of wind turbines from the literature review in databases. The amount of wind energy available at the Fluminense Federal Institute Campus Macaé was also evaluated. The methodology used in this work was characterized concerning its objectives as a descriptive research because it has as purpose the description of the characteristics of a certain region. Iy may be also characterized as exploratory research
since it aims to provide greater familiarity with the problem, in order to make it clearer or constructing hypotheses. It was verified with the research that there is strong evidence that Campus Macaé has a great potential of electric power generation, being able to supply its own energetic necessities through renewable sources. The present research also aims to reduce the energy impact, provide a reduction of energy consumption costs and contribute to the sustainability of the country using natural resources in an intelligent way.
