AVALIAÇÃO DE HÍBRIDOS DE GIRASSOL EM GUARAPUAVA-PARANÁ

• Abstract: Sunflower is one of the main oilseeds produced in the world and has great cultivation adaptability. The objective of the study was to evaluate important agronomic characters of new genotypes adapted to the Center-South region of Paraná. The experiment was carried out in the 2019/2020 growing season in Guarapuava, Paraná State. Twelve genotypes plus two controls were evaluated in a randomized block design with three replications. The mean responses of the genotypes were 56 days for flowering and 95 days for physiological maturity, with 172 cm height mean and 2,861 kg ha-1 of grain yield. The BRS G66 hybrid showed 3258 kg ha-1 of grain yield, 44% of oil content and 1442 kg ha-1 of oil yield, not differing statistically from the BRS G68, BRS G67, BRS G65 and Helio 250 genotypes, and not differing from the controls BRS G323 and Aguará 06. The analyzes indicated sunflower hybrids with yield above the national average and earlier, which may be alternatives for cultivation in the Center-South region of Paraná.
