AVALIAÇÃO DE DESEMPENHO AMBIENTAL APLICADO NAS INDÚSTRIAS METAL-MECÂNICA EM UM MUNICÍPIO DE MÉDIO PORTE
O estudo teve como objetivo realizar uma avaliação de desempenho ambiental no sistema de gestão das indústrias Metal-mecânica de um município de médio porte, em relação aos resíduos gerados por estas indústrias. A metodologia adotada se caracterizou como Levantamento, sendo que, as pesquisas desse tipo se constituem por interrogação direta das pessoas cujo comportamento se deseja conhecer. Para obtenção das informações realizou-se visitas a campo e aplicação de um roteiro semiestruturado. Como resultado, obtevese um número aproximado de 80 indústrias Metal-mecânica existentes no município, destas 30% aceitaram participar do estudo, ou seja, 25 indústrias de área de atuação e porte diversificado. Em relação aos indicadores de desempenho ambiental, constatou-se que as indústrias adotam algumas práticas ambientais, sendo que a prática que mais se destacou nas indústrias foi em relação à conscientização para funcionários e colaboradores em relação ao meio ambiente. De uma forma geral constatouse que as indústrias em estudo mostraram-se conscientes em relação ao meio ambiente, sendo que o único indicador que não pontou foi gerenciamento de resíduos.

Abstract:
The objective of the study was to carry out an environmental performance evaluation in the management system of the Metal-mechanics industries of a mediumsized municipality, in relation to the waste generated by these industries. The adopted methodology was characterized as Survey, being that, the investigations of this type are constituted by direct interrogation of the people whose behavior one wishes to know. In order to obtain the information, field visits and a semistructured itinerary were carried out. As a result, approximately 80 Metal-mechanic industries were found in the municipality, of which 30% accepted to participate in the study, that is, 25 industries in the area of activity and diversified size. Regarding the environmental performance indicators, it was verified that the industries adopt some environmental practices, and the practice that stood out most in the industries was in relation to the awareness for employees and employees in relation to the environment. In general, it was observed that the industries under study were aware of the environment, and the only indicator that did not point to waste management
