Abstract: Moringa oleifera Lam (Moringaceae) is a plant native to India. Due to its composition, Moringa oleifera has been identified as an alternative nutritional source for socially neglected populations, as it has significant amounts of proteins, vitamins and minerals. The objective of the present work was to evaluate the development and quality of moringa seedlings depending on three different doses of nitrogen fertilizer. The experiment was carried out following a completely randomized design, with treatments arranged in a 3 x 3 x 4 factorial scheme, with three doses of nitrogen (0, 60, 120 kg/ha), three times (0, 30 and 60 days) four blocks and plots of 5 plants. Nitrogen fertilizer doses were applied at time zero and every 30 days for three months. After receiving three doses, the parameters of height in centimeters (ALT) and diameter in millimeters of the duct (DC) were evaluated. According to the result, it was found that, in relation to diameter, no difference was observed between the plants that received doses of nitrogen fertilizer and those that did not when comparing the four blocks. Regarding the height of the plants, these showed a difference between the plants that received nitrogen fertilization and those that did not, the ALT ranged from 1.3 cm, without fertilization, to 31.8 cm with fertilization. It is concluded that nitrogen fertilization interferes with plant growth as seen in the data analysis of this research.
