Abstract: The center pivot irrigation system stands out for its ability to apply water automatically and efficiently over large agricultural areas; however, its efficiency depends directly on the uniformity of water application along the irrigated radius. Determining this uniformity is essential to prevent areas with deficit or excess irrigation, reduce waste, optimize energy use, and ensure the agronomic performance of crops. The evaluation involves structured procedures that include the proper selection and positioning of collectors, control of environmental conditions, verification of pivot operation, and precise measurement of the applied volumes. The conversion of these volumes into applied depths, along with the use of specific analytical methods for circular systems—such as the Heermann & Hein uniformity coefficient (CUCHH) allows quantification of application homogeneity and identification of performance issues related to pressure, emitter wear, and operational conditions. This methodology enables reliable diagnostics and supports management and maintenance decisions that ensure the proper functioning of the system.
