AVALIAÇÃO DA RELAÇÃO ENTRE OS NÍVEIS DE FERRTINA E COLESTEROL LDL EM PACIENTES ATENDIDOS PELO HOSPITAL UNIVERSITÁRIO DO OESTE DO PARANÁ
O objetivo do presente trabalho
foi o de correlacionar os índices de ferritina e
colesterol LDL (c-LDL) de um grupo de pacientes
hospitalares. A ferritina sérica, apesar de ser
um indicador de reserva corporal de ferro, pode
estar aumentada em estados inflamatórios. O
depósito de ferro nos macrófagos da parede
arterial é aumentado em lesões ateroscleróticas
através do aumento da oxidação do colesterol
LDL. Os resultados da literatura têm sido
conflitantes em relação à associação entre
ferritina e aterosclerose, com estudos afirmando
ou negando esse possível efeito deletério. Com
isso o objetivo desse trabalho foi verificar uma
possível correlação entre os valores de ferritina
e c-LDL. Foi realizada coleta dos valores de
ferritina e c-LDL dos pacientes atendidos de
janeiro a junho de 2016 no Hospital Universitário
do Oeste do Paraná com buscas no banco
de dados do sistema Tasy®. Os resultados
estatísticos foram analisados com auxílio do
programa estatístico R®. Não houve correlação
significativa entre os valores de ferritina e c-LDL
na amostra analisada.

Abstract:
LDL (c-LDL) is a group of
hospital patients. Serum ferritin, despite being
an indicator of iron body reserve, may be
increased in reference states. Iron deposition
in macrophages of the arterial wall is increased
in atherosclerotic lesions by increasing the
oxidation of LDL cholesterol. The literature
results have been conflicting with the association
between ferritin and atherosclerosis, with studies
stating or denying the possible deleterious
effect. In order to perform the first task between
the values of ferritin and c-LDL. Phase of
collection of the values of ferritin and LDL-C of
the patients attended from January to June of
2016 at the Hospital Universitário do Oeste do
Paraná with no database of Tasy® system. The
results obtained were based on the statistical
program R®. The ferritin and LDL-c levels were analyzed in the analyzed test.
