AVALIAÇÃO DA POPULAÇÃO DE NEMATOIDES DE VIDA LIVRE E CARACTERÍSTICAS FÍSICAS DO SOLO EM CULTIVO DE ADUBOS VERDES
O conhecimento acerca da biota e das características físicas do solo, bem como de sua relação, se faz necessário para a busca de um manejo mais adequado e racional do solo. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a população dos nematoides de vida livre, o diâmetro médio geométrico (DMG) de agregados estáveis e a densidade do solo (Ds), em duas camadas do solo, 0-0,1 m e 0,1-0,2 m, bem como sua possível relação em três épocas, maio de 2013 (época 1), abril 2014 (época 2) e abril de 2015 (época 3) em área cultivada inicialmente com adubos verdes e posteriormente com sorgo (Sorghum vulgare). Os resultados obtidos indicaram um aumento na população total de nematoides e uma maior média na camada de 0-0,1 m na época 3. No que concerne à densidade do solo, os valores indicaram uma maior média na camada de 0,1-0,2 m. Houve uma diminuição no DMG de agregados estáveis com uma tendência de estabilização dos valores na época 2 e na época 3. Foi registrado uma variação significativa da população total de nematoides e das duas características físicas nas três épocas em estudo. Não houve uma correlação significativa entre a população de nematoides e as características físicas.

Abstract:
The knowledge about the biota and the physical characteristics of the soil, as well as its relation, is necessary for the search for a more adequate and rational management of the soil. The objective of this work was to evaluate the population of the free-living nematodes, the geometric mean diameter (DMG) of stable aggregates and the soil density (Ds) in two layers of soil, 0-0,1 and 0,1-0,2 m, as well as its possible relation in three seasons, May 2013 (season 1), April 2014 (season 2) and April 2015 (season 3) in an area initially cultivated with green manure and later sorghum (Sorghum vulgare). The results indicated an increase in the total nematode population and a higher average in the 0-0,1 m layer in season 3. Regarding soil density, the values indicated a higher average in the layer 0,1-0,2 m. There was a decrease in DMG of stable aggregates with a trend of stabilization of the values in season 2 and season 3. A significant variation of the total nematode population and of the two physical characteristics was recorded in the three periods studied. There was no significant correlation between the nematode population and the physical characteristics.
