AVALIAÇÃO DA EFETIVIDADE DO PERÍODO DE DEFESO SOBRE A PESCA DO CAMARÃO Xiphopenaeus kroyeri EM CARAVELAS NO ESTADO DA BAHIA
O objetivo desse estudo foi
analisar a população do camarão sete-barbas
Xiphopenaeus kroyeri presente no banco
camaroneiro do Município de Caravelas-BA e
verificar a efetividade dos períodos de defeso
existente para a espécie. Foram realizados
arrastos em estações pré-selecionadas,
mensalmente, entre os meses de janeiro a
dezembro de 2015, exceto os meses que
correspondem com período de defeso, abril
e outubro, sempre em dias representativos
de pesca, próximos à lua nova. As amostras
coletadas para cada estação foi submetida
a biometria de 150 indivíduos aleatórios,
medindo-se comprimento de cefalotórax-CC
(cm), peso total-PT (g); assim como sexagem
com a identificação dos estágios gonadais
das fêmeas. As amostras foram submetidas
aos testes estatísticos (ANOVA) nível de
significância p<0,05), enquanto que a diferença
na proporção sexual entre os meses foram
verificados mediante o teste do x² (α=5%),
com nível de significância de 5%. As capturas
evidenciaram que a maior parte da produção
do camarão sete-barbas está relacionada a
indivíduos que acabam de entrar da fase adulta,
e na maior parte das vezes são capturados sem
reproduzir ao menos uma vez, sendo assim
necessária uma reformulação do período de
defeso, para que seja viabilizada a reprodução
destes indivíduos recém inseridos na fase
adulta matura sexualmente

Abstract:
The objective of this study was to analyze the seven-barbas Xiphopenaeus
kroyeri shrimp population present in the shrimp bank of the city of Caravelas-BA and
to verify the effectiveness of the closed season for the species. Trawls were carried
out at pre-selected stations, monthly, between January and December 2015, except
for the months that correspond to the closed season, April and October, always on
representative fishing days, close to the new moon. The samples collected for each
station were submitted to biometry of 150 random individuals, measuring length of
cephalothorax-CC (cm), total weight-PT (g); As well as sexing with the identification of
the female gonadal stages. The significance level of p <0.05 was statistically significant
(ANOVA), whereas the difference in sex ratio between the months was verified using
the x² test (α = 5%), with a significance level of 5 %. Catches have shown that most
of the seven-beard shrimp production is related to individuals who have just entered
adulthood, and are most often caught without breeding at least once, thus necessitating
a recast of the closed season , So that it is feasible the reproduction of these newly
inserted individuals in the mature adult sexually mature.
