AVALIAÇÃO DA ATIVIDADE DO ÓLEO ESSENCIAL OBTIDO DAS FOLHAS DE Croton sp SOBRE ATRAÇÃO PARA A OVIPOSIÇÃO DO Aedes aegypti
: Estudos relacionados ao uso de plantas medicinais vêm despertando interesse por parte dos pesquisadores com intuito de desenvolver inseticidas de origem botânica como forma alternativa para o controle de insetos vetores, como o Aedes aegypti (Linnaeus, 1762) conhecido mundialmente por transmitir a Dengue, Chikungunya e o Zika vírus. Nesse sentido, objetivou-se avaliar a atividade do óleo essencial obtido das folhas de Croton sp., sobre a atração para a oviposição do A. aegypti. A planta foi coletada, identificada e, posteriormente, foi feita a extração do óleo essencial para, em seguida, dar início ao bioensaio. A partir da análise dos dados verificou-se que fêmeas do A. aegypti demonstraram preferência para a oviposição em água deionizada.

Abstract:
Studies related to the use of medicinal plants have attracted interest from researchers in order to develop botanical origin of insecticides as an alternative to control insect vectors, such as Aedes aegypti, (Linnaeus 1762) known worldwide for transmitting Dengue, Chikungunya and Zika virus. In this sense, it aimed to evaluate the essential oil activity obtained from the leaves of Croton sp., on the attraction for oviposition of A. aegypti. Initially, the plant was collected and recorded in the herbarium and, later, essential oil extraction was made to then start the bioassay. From the data analysis it was found that the A. aegypti females showed a preference for deionized water.
