AVALIAÇÃO DA ASSISTÊNCIA TÉCNICA E EXTENSÃO RURAL ATUANTES NOS SISTEMAS DE PRODUÇÃO HORTÍCOLA NO MUNICIPIO DE BOTUCATU
A Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural (ATER) é um conjunto de serviços que visa fornecer apoio técnico, capacitação e orientação a produtores agrícolas. A ATER desempenha um papel fundamental no fortalecimento da agricultura familiar, no combate à pobreza rural e na promoção do desenvolvimento rural. Além disso, é uma estratégia importante para promover a inclusão social, reduzir desigualdades e impulsionar a produção sustentável de alimentos. Neste sentido, objetivou-se com este estudo avaliar as ações técnicas pelas instituições, organizações, empresas e entidades que atuam na ATER pública e privada no Município Botucatu. Foi verificado que entidades de diferentes conformações (públicas e privadas), participam das atividades de ATER no município, entretanto os dados mostraram que existe baixo engajamento dos produtores nas atividades da ATER. Diante desse cenário, é importante compreender as razões subjacentes ao baixo engajamento dos produtores e buscar estratégias para superar esses obstáculos. É fundamental promover uma maior conscientização sobre a importância da ATER e seus benefícios, bem como facilitar o acesso às informações e serviços oferecidos pelas entidades de ATER.

Abstract:
Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (ATER) is a set of services aimed at providing technical support, training and guidance to agricultural producers. ATER plays a key role in strengthening family farming, fighting rural poverty and promoting rural development. Furthermore, it is an important strategy to promote social inclusion, reduce inequalities and boost sustainable food production. In this sense, the objective of this study was to evaluate the technical actions by the institutions, organizations, companies and entities that work in the public and private ATER in the Municipality of Botucatu. It was verified that entities of different configurations (public and private) participate in ATER activities in the municipality, however the data showed that there is low engagement of producers in ATER activities. Given this scenario, it is important to understand the underlying reasons for the low engagement of producers and seek strategies to overcome these obstacles. It is essential to promote greater awareness about the importance of ATER and its benefits, as well as to facilitate access to information and services offered by ATER entities.
