AVALIAÇÃO AMBIENTAL INICIAL DE INSTITUIÇÕES DE ENSINO SUPERIOR DO MUNICÍPIO DE CORRENTE-PI
O objetivo deste trabalho foi aplicar
uma avaliação ambiental inicial no alto poder de
duas instituições, uma de ensino público e outra
de ensino particular, que permite a direção das
mesmas conhecer seu perfil e desempenho
ambiental. A pesquisa desenvolvida foi
realizada por meio de um estudo qualitativo
exploratório, no Campus Corrente do Instituto
Federal do Piauí (IFPI), instituição de ensino
público e na Faculdade do Cerrado Piauiense
(FCP), instituição privada de ensino, utilizando
a metodologia de Freitas et al. (2001) com a
intenção de verificar, na visão dos dirigentes,
sobre qual o posicionamento as instituições se
encontram em relação ao meio ambiente. Diante
dos resultados obtidos, foi possível visualizar
e analisar que a instituição IFPI – Campus
Corrente, percebe está em boas condições,
pois a maioria das respostas está entre cinco
(5) e três (3). De acordo com a metodologia,
a instituição possui um bom desempenho
ambiental e vem realizando esforços para
sustentar o seu atual desempenho ambiental.
A Faculdade do Cerrado Piauiense encontra-se
em uma situação diferente, pois a maioria dos
valores atribuídos às questões foram NA (não
aplicável) e algumas receberam nota três (3).
Como a maioria das questões receberam NA, a
metodologia afirma que a IES deve está diante
de um importante desafio que é identificar
e integrar os requisitos de qualidade para
que assim possa eliminar a vulnerabilidade
característica deste desempenho. Mas,
algumas questões receberam nota três (3), que
de acordo com a metodologia provavelmente a
IES vem realizando um “esforço” para sustentar
o seu atual desempenho ambiental.

Abstract:
The objective of this work was to
apply an initial environmental assessment in
the high power of two institutions, one of public
and the other of private education, which allows
the management of the same to know their profile and environmental performance.
The research carried out was carried out by means of a qualitative exploratory study,
in the Campus Corrente of the Federal Institute of Piauí (IFPI), a public teaching
institution and at the Faculty of Cerrado Piauiense (FCP), a private teaching institution,
using Freitas et al. al. with the intention of verifying, in the view of the leaders, on
which position the institutions are in relation to the environment. In view of the results
obtained, it was possible to visualize and analyze that the IFPI - Campus Corrente
institution perceives to be in good condition, since the majority of the answers are
between five (5) and three (3). According to the methodology, the institution has a
good environmental performance and has been making efforts to sustain its current
environmental performance. The Faculty of Cerrado Piauiense is in a different situation,
since most of the values attributed to the questions were NA (not applicable) and some
received a grade three (3). Since most of the questions received NA, the methodology
states that the HEI must face an important challenge that is to identify and integrate
the quality requirements so that it can eliminate the characteristic vulnerability of this
performance. However, some issues have received a grade three (3), which according
to the methodology, the IES has probably been making an “effort” to sustain its current
environmental performance.
