AUTOMEDICAÇÃO EM PACIENTES IDOSOS
O estudo faz referência a automedicação de pessoas idosas e a atuação do farmacêutico e a necessidade de intervenções que objetivem o uso racional de medicamentos e colaborem para o êxito farmacoterapêutico tendo em vista a sua qualidade de vida. Portanto, o estudo busca evidenciar sobre os problemas que a automedicação traz ao paciente idoso. O objetivo geral do trabalho é expor os problemas da automedicação e os objetivos específicos são: citar sobre o uso de medicação de forma irracional, resultados adversos e atuação do farmacêutico. A metodologia adotada foi pesquisa bibliográfica com introdução de conceitos e estudos disponibilizados em artigos sobre o tema. Nesse intento, o estudo trouxe o desenvolvimento que trata sobre o envelhecimento populacional e as mudanças fisiológicas que acontecem no corpo humano com o passar do tempo que são significativas e por questões de saúde, muitas pessoas acabam utilizando medicamentos de forma descontrolada e sem se atentarem os efeitos adversos. Portanto, o estudo faz breve explanação de medicações que são usadas por pessoas idosas citando ainda a necessidade de acompanhamento e auxílio de um farmacêutico para o uso racional.

Abstract:
The study makes reference to the self-medication of elderly people and the role of the pharmacist and the need for interventions that aim at the rational use of medications and collaborate for the pharmacotherapeutic success in view of their quality of life. Therefore, the study seeks to answer about the problems that self-medication brings to the elderly patient. The general objective of the work is to expose the problems of self-medication and the specific objectives are to mention the irrational use of medication, adverse results and the performance of the pharmacist. The methodology adopted was bibliographical research with the introduction of concepts and studies made available in articles on the subject. In this intent, the study brought the development that deals with population aging and the physiological changes that happen in the human body over time that are significant and for health reasons, many people end up using drugs in an uncontrolled way and without paying attention to the adverse effects. Therefore, the study makes a brief explanation of medications that are used by elderly people, also citing the need for monitoring and assistance from a pharmacist for rational use.
