Abstract: Pediatric dentistry faces some challenges in terms of managing patient anxiety, diagnosing bruxism and treatment possibilities, as well as difficulties such as the craving reflex during the dental procedure. Auriculotherapy, on the other side, is recognized by the scientific community for its systemic benefits, as well as being an accessible, non-invasive technique that is easy for professionals to apply. The aim of this study was to search for evidence in the literature that demonstrates the potential benefits of auriculotherapy when implemented in different situations in the specialty of pediatric dentistry. For this study, we used articles from the Scielo and Pubmed databases, as well as definitions from the official websites of the Pan American Health Organization and the Brazilian Government's Health Secretariat, gathering articles from 1995 to 2023. From this review, it was possible to observe that the systemic action of auriculotherapy can act directly on the problems listed in the pediatric dentistry specialty, such as patient anxiety in the dental environment, bruxism due to stress and anxiety, and craving reflex due to the position of instruments or materials during the dental procedure, suggesting that due to its accessibility, the auriculotherapy technique can be widely used when associated with systemic issues of pediatric dentistry patients.
