AULAS EMPREENDEDORAS E INOVADORAS NA DISCIPLINA DE INTRODUÇÃO À ENGENHARIA ELÉTRICA
O empreendedorismo no Brasil é
recente, com isto, poucos são os educadores
nas universidades que incentivam, apoiam e
desenvolvem as competências nos estudantes
para fomentar a inovação e o espírito
empreendedor. A mudança é lenta, mas
necessária, exige trabalho e perseverança.
Para ocorrer uma mudança é imprescindível
pequenas ações como desenvolver projetos/
eventos/disciplinas para que a inovação seja
o cerne do ensino, pesquisa e extensão na
comunidade acadêmica na interação discente e
docente. O empreendedorismo na Universidade
Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), teve seu
impulso nos anos 90 do século XX no qual
alguns educadores passaram a discutir o ensino
não apenas na forma de conteúdo, que tem por
único objetivo a formação de mão-de-obra, mas
sim de desenvolver competências e habilidades
nos estudantes. Ajudando na formação
de jovens empreendedores, instigando a
criatividade, desenvolvendo a inovação e
sustentabilidade na cidade, região e país. As
pequenas ações de ontem surtiram bons frutos
e continuam promovendo o crescimento e
desenvolvimento empreendedor na UFSM, em
Santa Maria e região. Neste movimento surgiu
a Incubadora Tecnológica de Santa Maria
(ITSM), o Parque Tecnológico e a disciplina
de Introdução a Engenharia Elétrica passou a
ser uma fomentadora do empreendedorismo,
aproveitando o potencial das ideias criativas
dos alunos do primeiro semestre do curso
de Engenharia Elétrica e transformando em
negócios.

Abstract:
Entrepreneurship in Brazil is a
recent thing. For this reason, there are not
many educators in universities that encourage,
support and develop skills in students to foster
innovation and entrepreneurship. The change
is slow, but necessary, and requires work
and perseverance. For a change to occurs
small actions like developing projects/events/
disciplines are necessary so that innovation is
at the heart of teaching, research and extension
in the academic community in the studentprofessor interaction. Entrepreneurship at the
Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), had its momentum in the 90s of the twentieth
century in which some educators began to discuss the teaching not only in the form of
content, which has the sole purpose of training of skilled labor, but of developing skills
and abilities in students. Helping to train young entrepreneurs, encouraging creativity,
developing innovation and sustainability in the city, region and country. Small actions
of the past had good results and continue to promote growth and entrepreneurial
development at the UFSM, in Santa Maria and in the region. In this movement the
Technological Incubator of Santa Maria (ITSM) and the Technology Park came to life
and the discipline of Introduction to Electrical Engineering became an encourager of
entrepreneurship, taking advantage of the potential of creative ideas of students in the
first semester of the Electrical Engineering course and transforming them into business.
