AULA PRÁTICA DE MONTAGEM DE UMA UNIDADE SANITÁRIA DE PLÁSTICO RECICLADO RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA
Este estudo visa incrementar o interesse de estudantes do ensino médio e reduzir a evasão do curso de engenharia civil através da realização de aula prática de montagem de unidade sanitária de plástico reciclado pelos discentes da disciplina de Tecnologia das Construções contando com a participação dos estudantes de uma escola de ensino médio. Uma parceria entre uma Universidade pública, o fabricante do banheiro de plástico e uma escola pública do semiárido do nordeste brasileiro foi estabelecida através de um convênio com o CNPq e a Companhia Vale do Rio Doce – Forma Engenharia - com o fito de realizar análises do processo de montagem e desmontagem do banheiro de plástico reciclado. A primeira aula prática foi realizada pelos técnicos da empresa doadora da unidade sanitária. As observações dos participantes durante a referida aula serviram de base para elaboração do procedimento para realização da aula prática de montagem e manual do banheiro de plástico reciclado. Duas aulas práticas foram realizadas com apoio dos técnicos da Universidade que realizou a pesquisa, e, duas foram realizadas somente pelos estudantes do curso de Engenharia civil da referida Universidade. Em todas elas ficou evidente a dificuldade de encaixe da viga superior em virtude da altura e da necessidade de ajuste entre os quatro pilares. A partir desse estudo a empresa fornecedora realizou testes no protótipo e modificou o material dos pilares de ferro para alumínio.

Abstract:
This study aims to increase the interest of high school students and reduce evasion from the civil engineering course by conducting a practical class on the assembly of a sanitary unit made of recycled plastic by students of the Construction Technology course, with the participation of students from a high school. A partnership between a public university, the plastic bathroom manufacturer and a public school in the semiarid region of northeastern Brazil was established through an agreement with CNPq and Companhia Vale do Rio Doce - Forma Engenharia - with the aim of carrying out process analyzes of assembly and disassembly of the bathroom from recycled plastic. The first practical class was held by technicians from the company that donated the health unit. The observations of the participants during that class served as the basis for the elaboration of the procedure for carrying out the practical class of assembly and manual of the recycled plastic bathroom. Two practical classes were held with the support of technicians from the University that carried out the research, and two were held only by students from the Civil Engineering course at the aforementioned University. In all of them, the difficulty of fitting the upper beam was evident due to the height and the need for adjustment between the four pillars. Based on this study, the supplier company carried out tests on the prototype and changed the material of the pillars from iron to aluminum.
