Abstract: This article aimed to understand the importance of psychopedagogy. Based on the selected theme, it is evident that there is a need to investigate psychopedagogy within the context of learning difficulties. Thus, the research was guided by the following problem: What strategies does the psychopedagogue use when facing reading difficulties? The general objective of this study is to understand the importance of the psychopedagogue’s role in the school context. The specific objectives are to identify the contributions of psychopedagogy in addressing learning difficulties, to understand difficulties in reading and writing, and to investigate the strategies used by the psychopedagogue in dealing with reading-related challenges.The study is characterized as a bibliographic review based on previously developed materials, including scientific articles and books, with authors such as Weiss (2021), Rubinstein (2022), and Silva (2022). Through this research, it was shown that psychopedagogy aims to promote the integral development of the child. Therefore, the results of this study demonstrate that integrated action among psychopedagogy, school, and family is essential to address learning difficulties.
