ATUAÇÃO DO ENFERMEIRO EM CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS EM AMBIENTE DOMICILIAR
Considerações Finais: O cuidado paliativo na enfermagem é uma área de assistência incipiente, mas promissora para a consolidação dos cuidados integrais ao paciente e à família, tendo em vista a capacidade do profissional de responder ao sofrimento humano nas dimensões física, psicológica, social e espiritual. No contexto do cuidado paliativo na atenção domiciliar, os profissionais enfermeiros desenvolvem atuação essencial na assistência ao binômio paciente-família.

Abstract:
Introduction: Palliation is a care modality performed by a multidisciplinary team, with an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families in the face of these diseases. Among the multiprofessional team that works in home care practices, nurses play a key role, as they develop comprehensive care from the perspective of an interdisciplinary palliative approach. Objective: To discuss the role of nurses in Palliative Care in a home environment. Methodology: Qualitative study of literature review of publications on Palliative Care in home care. The following research databases were used for data collection: Latin American Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), and all articles published between 2011 and 2022 were analyzed. data took place in May 2022. The research was carried out using the descriptors:”Palliative Care”; “Home Care Service”, “Nursing in Primary Care”. Titles in which the relationship between the three terms was not discussed were excluded, and 14 publications were included in the study. Results and Discussion: The analyzed studies showed that nurses are indispensable for the development of the fundamental objectives of Palliative Care, and also pointed to the commitment of nursing in the care of patients in a situation of terminality of life, in the home environment, since the publications encompassed the perception of professionals, patients, caregivers and family members about this type of assistance, approaching the contexts of home care services. Final Considerations: Palliative care in nursing is an incipient area of care, but promising for the consolidation of comprehensive care for the patient and family, in view of the professional's ability to respond to human suffering in the physical, psychological, social and spiritual dimensions. . And it can be seen, in the context of palliative care in home care, that professional nurses develop an essential role in assisting the patient-family binomial.
