ATIVISMO E MARCOS LEGAIS DA POPULAÇÃO LGBTTI: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA
Trata-se de um relato de experiência
que objetivou descrever sobre os encontros
de formação sobre o ativismo social acerca
das políticas públicas para pessoas LGBT
(Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis,
Transexuais e Transgêneros), realizado
na Organização Não Governamental (ONG)
GESTOS em Recife-PE, Brasil Evidenciouse
que a maioria dos participantes não eram
contemplada com seus direitos nos ambientes
de inserção, visto que não são inseridos e
respeitados nos locais públicos, escola, núcleo
familiar e referiram a falta de oportunidades
para trabalho devido sua identidade de gênero,
mesmo quando qualificados, são tratados como
seres abjetos e têm suas vidas subjugadas,
recorrendo a prostituição como única forma de
trabalho para manterem sua existência.

Abstract:
The objective was to describe
social activism about the public policies of
lesbian, gay, bisexual, transvestite, transsexual
and intersex people (LGBTTI). This is an
experience report on the training meetings held
for LGBTTI people, held at the GESTOS Non-
Governmental Organization (NGO) in Recife,
PE, Brazil. It was evidenced that the majority
of the participants were not contemplated with
their rights in the insertion environments, since
they are not inserted and respected in the
public places, school, family nucleus and they
indicated the lack of opportunities for work due
to their gender identity, even when qualified, are
treated as abject beings and have their lives
subdued, resorting to prostitution as the only
way of working to maintain their existence.
