ATIVIDADE DA NITAZOXANIDA EM TRATAMENTOS CONTRA AGENTES MICROBIANOSE PARASITÁRIOS: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
A Nitazoxanida é um fármaco antiparasitário que possui um amplo espectro e pertence à classe dos nitrotiazóis. No Brasil, encontra-se disponível na forma de comprimidos revestidos e, em pó para fazer o uso em suspensões orais, ele é comercializado com o nome Annita. Este fármaco apresenta uma ampla atividade sobre os protozoários, bactérias e alguns vírus. Porém a falta da elucidação de estudos sobre as interações moleculares entre essa droga e o tratamento com os pacientes tem deixado uma lacuna sobre os possíveis alvos farmacológicos da droga. A nitazoxanida é amplamente utilizada na América Latina, na terapia de combate a problemas gastrointestinais, uma vez que nesta região a prevalência de parasitoses é muito grande. Assim, o presente trabalho objetivou fazer uma revisão bibliográfica sobre os artigos e teses que foram publicados até o presente momento, sobre a eficácia do uso da nitazoxanida no combate a uma série de problemas gastrointestinais causadas por alguns desses agentes infecciosos como os helmintos, protozoários e alguns rotavírus, bem como o seu uso recente no tratamento de pacientes que foram infectadas com o novo corona vírus. Sobre a metodologia utilizada, foi feita uma revisão de literatura do tipo narrativa, onde procuramos levantar informações sobre como tem sido feito o uso da Nitazoxanida na terapia de combate a patologias decorrentes de infecções parasitárias e de infecções virais, bem como as informações referentes à sua disponibilidade dentro do organismo humano, o seu mecanismo de ação e a sua farmacodinâmica. Os resultados que foram obtidos ao longo dos anos a parti do seu uso e as possíveis melhorias para o melhor uso desse fármaco sintético.

Abstract:
Nitazoxanide is a new spectrum antiparasitic drug and belongs to the class of nitrothiazoles. In Brazil, it is available as coated tablets and, in powder form for use in oral suspensions, it is marketed as a generic medicine and also under with reference drug name. This drug has a wide activity on protozoa, bacteria and some viruses. However, the lack of elucidation of studies on the molecular interactions between this drug and the treatment with patients has left a gap on the possible pharmacological targets of the drug.. Nitazoxanide is widely used in Latin America, in therapy to combat gastrointestinal problems, since in this region the prevalence of parasites is very large and varied in communities. Thus, the present work aimed to make a bibliographic review on the articles and theses that have been published to date, on the effectiveness of the use of nitazoxanide in combating a series of gastrointestinal problems caused by some of these infectious agents such as helminths, protozoa and some rotaviruses, as well as their recent use in treating patients who have been infected with the new corona virus. On the methodology used, a literature review of the narrative type was carried out, in which we sought to gather information on how Nitazoxanide has been used in therapy to combat pathologies resulting from parasitic infections and viral infections, as well as information regarding their availability within the human organism, its mechanism of action and its pharmacodynamics. The results that have been obtained over the years from its use and the possible improvements for the best use of this synthetic drug.
