Abstract: Indigenous populations still face significant inequalities in access to health services, especially those living in remote territories. Among the main obstacles are geographic isolation, cultural and linguistic barriers, and the precariousness of available infrastructure, factors that directly impact the quality and continuity of care. Objective: To analyze, through an integrative literature review, how geographic isolation interferes with Primary Health Care provided to indigenous populations. Methodology: This is a descriptive study based on an integrative literature review. The bibliographic survey was conducted in July 2025, encompassing articles published between 2020 and 2025, in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. The searches were carried out in the SciELO, Virtual Health Library (BVS), and CAPES Portal databases. Results: Initially, 168 articles were identified. After careful reading and application of inclusion and exclusion criteria, 10 studies comprised the final sample. The articles analyzed highlight multiple challenges faced by health professionals in caring for indigenous populations, emphasizing geographic isolation, communication difficulties arising from linguistic and cultural barriers, and the need to respect the traditional knowledge and practices of these peoples. Conclusion: However, these conditions hinder the longitudinal follow-up of patients and the implementation of preventive actions, reinforcing the need for specific and culturally sensitive strategies in the organization of primary health care for these territories. Descriptors: Primary Health Care; Indigenous Health; Health Care; Comprehensive Health Care; Indigenous Population Health; Nursing.
