ASSOCIAÇÃO DAS VARIÁVEIS SOCIODEMOGRÁFICAS COM O RISCO DE EXPOSIÇÃO AOS DEFENSIVOS AGRÍCOLAS
O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar as associações das variáveis sociodemográfica com os riscos de intoxicação por defensivos agrícolas, a procura por assistência técnica e a correta interpretação da legislação. Para tal foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa de abordagem quantitativa, do tipo descritiva exploratória, os participantes da pesquisa foram agricultores da zona rural do município de Boa Vista do Buricá - RS. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio de um formulário com questões objetivas e subjetivas. Os dados foram compilados e analisados através do software SPSS®, versão 23.0 e pela estatística descritiva que foi realizada no Microsoft Excel, versão 2013. Verificou-se associação significativa entre as variáveis escolaridade, tamanho da propriedade e tempo de atuação na atividade agrícola, com os aspectos, conhecimentos dos impactos do uso de defensivos agrícolas na saúde e meio ambiente, reconhecimento dos sintomas de intoxicação, participação em atividades educativas sobre o tema, identificação da classe toxicológica e preparo da dosagem recomendada. Infere-se, portanto, que as populações rurais com baixo nível de escolaridade, com condições socioeconômicas mais baixas são mais vulneráveis aos riscos associados à exposição aos defensivos agrícolas.

Abstract:
The objective of this study was to analyze the associations of sociodemographic variables with the risks of poisoning by pesticides, the search for technical assistance, and the correct interpretation of legislation. For this, quantitative approach research was developed, of the exploratory descriptive type, the research participants were farmers in the rural area of the municipality of Boa Vista do Buricá - RS. Data collection took place through a form with objective and subjective questions. Data were compiled and analyzed using SPSS® software, version 23.0, and descriptive statistics that were performed in Microsoft Excel, version 2013. There was a significant association between the variables schooling, size of the property, and time of activity in the agricultural activity, with aspects, knowledge of the impacts of the use of pesticides on health and the environment, recognition of symptoms of intoxication, participation in educational activities on the subject, identification of the toxicological class and preparation of the recommended dosage. It is inferred, therefore, that rural populations with a low level of education, with lower socioeconomic conditions are more vulnerable to the risks associated with exposure to pesticides.
