ASSISTÊNCIA DE ENFERMAGEM PERIOPERATÓRIA EM PACIENTES COM HIPERSENSIBILIDADE AO LÁTEX: REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
Introdução:o látex é uma matéria-prima vastamente utilizada nos insumos da área da saúde. Este material está presente na composição de muitos materiais e/ou equipamentos médico-hospitalares. Em contrapartida, alguns pacientes podem apresentar alergia a este componente. Basicamente, o tratamento das reações ao látex, consiste na prevenção, ou seja, na eliminação do contato com seus derivados para evitar que reações alérgicas sejam desencadeadas. Assim, um planejamento da assistência a estes pacientes necessita da inclusão de medidas de profilaxia visando diminuir o risco de eventos adversos graves, principalmente, no período perioperatório. Método:o objetivo deste estudo foi realizar uma revisão de literatura sobre o assunto em questão, abordando este tema de interesse para a enfermagem.Discussão: a alergia ao látex configura um grave problema de saúde pública a nível mundial, tendo em vista que as reações a tal agente são potencialmente fatais.Conclusão: no contexto hospitalar, cabe a equipe multidisciplinar envolvida no atendimento buscar conhecimento desta patologia, para melhor orientar os pacientes, bem como reconhecê-la e prevenir uma complicação mais grave como choque anafilático.

Abstract:
Introduction: latex is a raw material widely used in health supplies. This material is present in the composition of many medical-hospital materials and/or equipment. On the other hand, some patients may be allergic to this component. Basically, the treatment of reactions to latex consists of prevention, that is, the elimination of contact with its derivatives to prevent allergic reactions from being triggered. Thus, care planning for these patients requires the inclusion of prophylaxis measures to reduce the risk of serious adverse events, especially in the perioperative period. Method: the objective of this study was to carry out a literature review on the subject in question, addressing this topic of interest to nursing. Discussion: latex allergy is a serious public health problem worldwide, considering that reactions to such an agent are potentially fatal. Conclusion: in the hospital context, it is up to the multidisciplinary team involved in the care to seek knowledge of this pathology, to better guide patients, as well as to recognize it and prevent a more serious complication such as anaphylactic shock.
