ASPECTOS RADIOGRÁFICOS DA ECTRODACTILIA EM CÃES: RELATO DE DOIS CASOS
A ectrodactilia é caracterizada pela separação dos tecidos moles e ósseos na região distal dos membros torácicos, podendo estar acompanhada de várias alterações do desenvolvimento dos ossos dos membros torácicos. Raramente descrita nas espécies animais, sendo pouco frequente em cães, é também conhecida como deformidade da garra de lagosta. Normalmente, observa-se tal anormalidade apenas nos membros torácicos, unilateralmente, não tendo predisposição racial ou sexual. Objetiva-se com este estudo relatar dois casos de ectrodactilia em cães, diagnosticados no Setor de Radiologia (Laboratório de Morfologia e Patologia Animal) da Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF), e destacar suas principais apresentações radiográficas. Foram realizadas imagens radiográficas de dois animais as quais se mostram compatíveis com a ectrodactilia, apresentando principalmente deformidades dos membros afetados. Ambos os animais foram acometidos nos membros torácico, em apenas um lado, além disso, os animais apresentavam diferentes faixas etárias ao diagnóstico final.

Abstract:
Ectrodactyly is characterized by the separation of soft and bone tissues in the distal region of the thoracic limbs, which may be accompanied by several changes in the development of the bones of the thoracic limbs. Rarely described in animal species, being uncommon in dogs, it is also known as lobster claw deformity. Usually, this abnormality is observed only in the thoracic limbs, unilaterally, having no racial or sexual predisposition. The aim of this study is to report two cases of ectrodactyly in dogs, diagnosed at the Radiology Sector (Laboratory of Animal Morphology and Pathology) of the State University of the North Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF), and to highlight their main radiographic presentations. Radiographic images of two animals were taken, which are compatible with ectrodactyly, with mainly deformities of the affected limbs. Both animals were affected in the thoracic limbs, on only one side, in addition, the animals had different age groups at the final diagnosis.
