Abstract: This article is the result of studies and readings of the books "Travadinhas" and "Você troca?" by Eva Furnari; "O que é? Adivinhas" by Ana Maria Machado and Claudius; and, lastly, "Proibido para maiores" by Paulo Tadeu. These copies were presented at the core of research carried out through a partnership between the Pedagogical Center of the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the Research Pro-Rectorate of UFMG, initiated in the year 2020 and continued in the year 2022. The books were analyzed based on the elements that led 3rd-grade children, aged between 8 and 9 years old, to select these works more frequently than others. Furthermore, the objective is to highlight the graphic-editorial aspects and analyze the textual and thematic aspects present in verbal and non-verbal languages within the works. In this regard, the following analysis is grounded in texts by authors such as L. Cademartori, Antônio Candido, Marta Passos Pinheiro, Jéssica Andrade Tolentino, Regina Zilberman, Ezequiel Theodoro, among others.
