Abstract: The present study aimed to investigate affective and social aspects of mothers with children aged up to 6 years, in the period of the pandemic, from a critical reflection with authors of social psychology. The literature used for this screening was based on qualitative and qualitative studies related to social issues using authors from social psychology as references authors such as Ignacio Martin-Baró, Sueli Carneiro, Enrique Dussel and Frantz Fanon. The research used as instruments a sociodemographic questionnaire and positive and negative affect scale of positive and negative effects (PANAS), with closed answers. The survey indicated a total of 72 mothers in social vulnerability who live with a family income of up to three minimum wages. The results indicated negative changes in the subjective aspects that emerged throughout the pandemic, worsening due to the interference of social aspects, employability, especially when associated with racial issues. Through the results, it is possible to draw an overview of social exclusion, especially for peripheral black mothers
