• Abstract: The pandemic of COVID-19 brought to society various fears, insecurities and, above all, changes in routine, and with such changes and insecurities come problems that affect mental health, especially in the group of adults who ended up being affected by this virus. This research aims to characterize the experience of patients after sequelae of COVID that affect their mental health. Specifically, it seeks to verify the consequences of covid-19 in daily life; to identify cognitive changes related to the recurrent sequelae of covid-19; to identify the emotional experiences related to the recurrent sequelae of covid-19; and to verify the occurrences of mental disorders in patients who were affected by covid-19. The following study is classified as a qualitative, descriptive, exploratory field research, in which interviews will be conducted with adults who were affected by the virus in the city of Lages-SC. Thematic content analysis of the data collected in the interviews will be carried out. It is expected to obtain among the results of this study, from the assumptions of the research, sequels related to mental disorders especially in people who already had a history of mental disorders prior to being affected by COVID.
