AS REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS DO JOVEM NO JORNAL DAQUI: O PERIGO E O ENVOLVIMENTO COM DROGAS
Nesta pesquisa, a intenção é
investigar as representações sociais de jovens
de Goiânia sobre os discursos midiáticos
hegemônicos, envolvendo a temática da
criminalidade e da violência, a respeito de si.
Buscou-se, em um primeiro momento, perceber
como os jovens são representados no Jornal
Daqui, veículo de maior circulação de Goiás.
Após a análise das notícias, utilizando como
referencial teórico a Teoria das Representações
Sociais, buscou-se compreender como jovens de
diferentes classes sociais (alta, média e baixa),
moradores de Goiânia, recebem, compreendem
e (res)significam as representações midiáticas
envolvendo a temática da criminalidade e
violência na juventude. Percebe-se que jovens
não assimilaram o conteúdo midiático sem
criticá-lo.

Abstract:
The objective of this work is to
investigate the social representations of young
people in Goiânia with respect to hegemonic
media discourses, involving the theme of
crime and violence concerning young people
themselves. We first sought to understand
how young people are represented in the
newspaper, Daqui, which is the paper with the
largest circulation among the print media in
Goiás. After analyzing the news, and by using
as a theoretical framework, the Theory of Social
Representations, we tried to understand how
young people from different social classes
(high, medium and low), residents of Goiânia,
receive, understand and live out their media
representations concerning the theme of crime
and violence among youth. It was confirmed
that young people did not assimilate the media
content without criticizing it.
