Abstract: The article explores the dynamics of power and favors in the context of institutional politics. Using a multidimensional approach, we will integrate theories from renowned philosophers and sociologists such as Zygmunt Bauman, Hannah Arendt, Max Weber, Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu to uncover how these dynamics operate at different levels and influence governance and everyday life. The work analyzes liquid modernity, surveillance, symbolic power and political polarization, highlighting the complexity of power relations and their implications for social justice and effective governance. By integrating these theoretical perspectives, the article offers a critical and comprehensive analysis of power and favor relations in institutional politics. This multidimensional approach is essential for understanding the complex interactions that shape contemporary society and for formulating strategies that promote social justice and effective governance. The work highlights the importance of recognizing and confronting the dynamics of power and favors to build a more equitable and stable society.
