AS PRINCIPAIS BARREIRAS RELACIONADAS À AMAMENTAÇÃO: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
Introdução: O leite materno é o
primeiro alimento do recém-nascido que deve
ser priorizado até os seis meses de vida do
bebê. Além de ser o primeiro alimento da
criança, estabelece vínculo entre a mãe e o
bebê e proporciona vários benefícios para
ambos. Objetivo: Compreender as dificuldades
no aleitamento materno apontadas pelas mães,
evidenciadas em estudos científicos. Materiais
e Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura
com características descritivo-exploratória,
retrospectiva, com abordagem qualitativa, foi
desenvolvido por meio da seleção criteriosa
de 10 artigos, os quais foram lidos na integra
e utilizados para embasamento e discussão do
trabalho. Foi realizada por meio do cruzamento
de palavras-chave encontradas nos Descritores
em Ciências da Saúde (DECS). Resultados: Os
resultados apontaram como principais barreiras
relacionadas à amamentação: Suporte familiar;
Aspectos financeiros inerentes à nova condição;
Reajuste familiar; Má pega; Intercorrências
mamárias; Desconhecimento/ falta de
informação; Mitos e crenças. Considerações
Finais: Este estudo ressalta a importância do
enfermeiro no processo de educação em saúde
com essa população para orientar e subsidiar
essa prática que só traz benefícios ao binômio
mãe/bebê.

Abstract:
Introduction: Breast milk is the first food of the newborn that should
be prioritized up to six months of the baby's life. In addition to being the child's first
food, it establishes a bond between the mother and the baby and provides several
benefits for both. Objective: To understand the difficulties in breastfeeding, pointed
out by mothers, as evidenced in scientific studies. Materials and Methods: This was a
review of the literature with descriptive-exploratory, retrospective, qualitative approach.
It was developed through the careful selection of 10 articles, which were read in full and
used for background and discussion of the work. It was performed through the crossreferencing
of keywords found in Descriptors in Health Sciences (DECS). Results: The
results pointed out as main barriers related to breastfeeding: Family support; Financial
aspects inherent to the new condition; Family readjustment; Breast Intercurrences;
Unawareness / lack of information; Myths and beliefs. Final Considerations: This
study highlights the importance of the nurse in the health education process with this
population to guide and subsidize this practice that only brings benefits to the mother
/ baby binomial.
