AS MULHERES NAS “POESIAS BÍBLICAS” DE DANIEL FARIA
Daniel Faria, poeta português de rápida passagem pela vida (1971-1999), demonstra uma proximidade com a transcendência, o gosto pela solidão e o rigor literário. Ele atenta para o simples, o cotidiano e o corriqueiro a fim de expressar intimidades do coração humano, sedento pelo divino. Por sua formação teológica e sua vida monástica, suas poesias são repletas de interlocução com os textos sagrados dos cristãos (Antigo e Novo Testamento), com os místicos (São João da Cruz e Santa Teresa de Jesus) e com a literatura portuguesa (Ricardo Reis e Luiza Neto Jorge). A apresentação examinará a leitura poética que Daniel Faria faz de alguns textos bíblicos, especialmente, os que tematizam o feminino. Partiremos dos motivos pelos quais o poeta desenvolve esses temas: sua formação no seminário, sua vida solitária, o gosto e o talento pela Literatura. Em seguida, elegemos uma série de poesias cujos títulos são personagens, eventos e referências bíblicas diretas da obra “Homens são como lugares mal situados” (2016). Em meio aos “poemas bíblicos”, um grande número recebe nome de personagens femininas e com características comuns: predominância de coadjuvantes, ausência de heroínas e foco nos instantes de sofrimento. Dedicaremos maior espaço para análise dessas poesias com a presença do feminino a fim de elencar pontos em comum entre elas, as relações com os respectivos textos bíblicos e destacar o drama, a angústia, o sofrimento e, algumas vezes, a redenção das mulheres na poesia de Daniel Faria.

Abstract:
Daniel Faria, Portuguese poet, who had a brief passage through life (1971-1999), demonstrates closeness to transcendence, a taste for solitude and literary rigor. He is attentive to the simple, daily, ordinary life in order to express intimacies of the human heart, thirsting for the divine. For his theological education and his monastic life, his poetry is full of interlocution with the sacred texts of Christians (Old and New Testament), with the mystics (St. John of the Cross and St. Teresa of Ávila) and the Portuguese literature (Ricardo Reis and Luiza Neto Jorge). The presentation will examine Daniel Faria's poetic reading of some biblical texts, especially those that focus on the feminine. Beginning with the reasons why the poet develops these themes: his education at the seminary, his solitary life, his taste and talent for Literature. Then, we choose a series of poems whose titles are characters, events and direct biblical references of the work “Homens são como lugares mal situados” (2016). Amid the “biblical poems”, many are named after female characters with common characteristics: predominance of secondary roles, absence of heroines and focus on moments of suffering. We will dedicate more space for the analysis of these poems with the presence of the female in order to list points in common between them, their relations with the respective biblical texts, and highlight the drama, the anguish, the suffering and, sometimes, the redemption of women in Daniel Faria's poetry.
