Abstract: The research project Labor Market and Public Policies on Gender and Ethnicity: Seeking a Dialogue in the Field of Human Rights aims to: analyze the impact of gender and ethnicity policies in the Brazilian State on university courses; analyze the potential for changes in gender and ethnicity public policies in the structure of careers in the labor market; propose actions in university education that equip future professionals to overcome gender and ethnic-racial discrimination in the work environment; to analyze the partnership between the university and the labor market in the implementation of new forms of management and encouragement of career progression that face discrimination based on gender and ethnicity. The methodology includes the analysis of the Statistical Yearbook of UERJ on the distribution by sex in the courses, interviews with managers where the concentration by sex is very accentuated, and a survey of internship fields.
