AS FUNÇÕES PÚBLICAS DA AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR E ESTRATÉGIAS DE SUPERAÇÃO DA POBREZA EXTREMA NA CHAPADA DIAMANTINA, SEMIÁRIDO DA BAHIA
Este artigo apresenta os resultados
da pesquisa intitulada Multifuncionalidade da
agricultura familiar e estratégias de superação
da extrema pobreza no Território da Chapada
Diamantina, semiárido da Bahia, que se
propôs a investigar sistemas de produção e
atividades de comunidades rurais e tradicionais
em municípios do Território da Chapada
Diamantina, região montanhosa do semi-árido
da Bahia, e suas estratégias de superação da
extrema pobreza mediante o reconhecimento
da existência de funções públicas das famílias
rurais nessas comunidades voltadas para a
preservação ambiental (função ambiental);
transmissão de conhecimentos entre gerações
(função educativa). O Programa Bolsa Verde
do Plano Brasil Sem Miséria consiste em uma
primeira política de âmbito nacional vinculada a
estratégias de superação da extrema pobreza,
considerando os serviços ambientais e extrema
pobreza como categorias relacionadas em
assentamentos de reforma agrária.

Abstract:
This paper aims to present the
results of the research called Familiar farmer
multifunctionality and strategies to overcome
the extreme poverty in the Chapada Diamantina
Territory, semiarid of Bahia, Brazil, that proposes
to comprehend the production and activity
systems of rural and indigenous communities
in the Chapada Diamantina country, a region
with mountains of Bahia semiarid, and its
strategies for extreme poverty overcome
through the recognize of public functions of the
rural families in these communities, destined to
the environmental preservation (environmental
function), knowledge transfers between
generations (education function). The Green
Scholarship Program of Brazil Without Misery
consists on the first national policy related to
the strategies to overcome the extreme poverty,
considering the environmental services and
extreme poverty to overcome the extreme
poverty.
