AS FUNÇÕES DE LINGUAGEM NA CONSTRUÇÃO NARRATIVA DO LIVRO POP-UP
O presente artigo propõe a compreensão e exposição das funções de linguagem existentes no design do objeto editorial. Tendo em vista que o livro pop-up permeia e cativa o universo infantojuvenil com suas peculiaridades e multiformas e que os mecanismos da engenharia do papel tornam-se cada vez mais arrojados na intenção de atrair e incentivar a relação dinâmica do leitor com o livro. Neste trabalho, para estudo descritivo e interpretativo dos meios narrativos aplicados as manifestações gráficas, acolhemos como caso exemplar o livro Vinte mil léguas submarinas, adaptado em pop-up por Sam Ita, editado em 2010 pela PubliFolha. O objetivo foi identificar e descrever as relações de coerência e coesão estabelecidas entre a linguagem verbal (texto escrito) e linguagem não verbal (ilustrações, esculturas de papel, quadrinhos...) aplicadas ao objeto editorial analisado, ressaltando o potencial sensorial e cinestésico que, concomitantemente, encaminham a narrativa, estimulam a imaginação e intensificam a interação do leitor com o livro.

Abstract:
This article proposes the understanding and exposition of existing language functions in the design of the editorial object. Considering that the pop-up book pervades and captivates the universe of children and youth with their peculiarities and multiforms, and that the mechanisms of paper engineering become more and more daring in order to attract and encourage the reader's dynamic relationship with the book. In this work, for a descriptive and interpretative study of the narrative media applied to the graphic manifestations, we have taken as an example the book Twenty thousand leagues under the sea, adapted in pop-up by Sam Ita, published in 2010 by PubliFolha. The objective was to identify and describe the relations of coherence and cohesion established between verbal language (written text) and nonverbal language (illustrations, paper sculptures, comics...) applied to the analyzed editorial object, highlighting the sensorial and kinesthetic potential that, concomitantly, forward the narrative, stimulate the imagination and intensify the interaction of the reader with the book.
