AS DIFICULDADES E AS POSSIBILIDADES DE PROMOVER NOVAS TERRITORIALIDADES EM TERRITÓRIOS TRADICIONAIS: Análise do Assentamento Novo Alegrete – RS
Para inserir uma nova dinâmica
produtiva e diminuir a concentração fundiária
do município de Alegrete – RS, no ano de 2008,
o Instituto Nacional de Colonização e Reforma
Agrária (INCRA), criou o Assentamento
Rural Novo Alegrete. O objetivo do presente
trabalho consiste em analisar os aspectos
socioeconômicos do Assentamento Novo
Alegrete e diagnosticar as dificuldades
e perspectivas de transformação em um
território de concentração de terra e poder.
Metodologicamente foram utilizados dados
qualitativos e quantitativos empregando uma
abordagem participativa. Os resultados apontam
que existem sérios problemas na infraestrutura
e na organização social do assentamento. Para
a realidade analisada a articulação entre órgãos
de ensino e extensão seria uma possibilidade
de melhorar a organização produtiva e social do
assentamento, promovendo, desta forma, uma
paulatina transformação territorial.

Abstract:
In order to insert a new productive
dynamic and to reduce the land concentration
in the municipality of Alegrete - RS, in 2008, the
National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian
Reform (INCRA) created the Novo Alegrete
Rural Settlement. The objective of this work is
to analyze the socioeconomic aspects of the
Novo Alegrete Settlement and to diagnose the
difficulties and prospects of transformation in
a territory of concentration of land and power.
Methodologically, qualitative and quantitative
data were used using a participatory approach.
The results indicate that there are serious
problems in the infrastructure and social
organization of the settlement. Concerned
with the reality analyzed here, the articulation
between teaching and extension organs would
be a possibility to improve the productive and
social organization of the settlement, thus
promoting a gradual territorial transformation.
