AS CRIANÇAS E A EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL: ATITUDE QUE ABRAÇA A VIDA
O presente artigo discorre sobre um projeto de extensão realizado na
periferia de Boa Vista-Roraima quanto a importância do cuidado com o Meio
Ambiente e sobre as relações do ser humano com esse meio através de atividades
lúdicas para as crianças do 2° e 3° anos, da Escola Municipal Hilda Franco, no
Conjunto Cruviana. Propôs-se com este trabalho realizar atividades lúdicas
informativas e formativas, que sensibilizem as crianças participantes do projeto para
o cuidado com o Meio Ambiente; mostrar para as crianças a necessidade de uma
relação saudável do ser humano com o Meio Ambiente (sem ser exploratória,
depredatória e individualista); relacionar-se com o Meio Ambiente como um bem
para todos; elaborar e confeccionar jogos que trabalhem os temas ambientais; e
estabelecer metas acessíveis para serem realizadas pelas crianças, em seu
cotidiano escolar e extraescolar. Foi realizado levantamento e pesquisa bibliográfica,
em busca de dados e estudos sobre os temas a serem trabalhados no projeto.
Realizou-se compilação dos materiais sobre o tema e programação das atividades
que foram executadas com as crianças, o que pode contribuir para que outros
estudos e projetos sejam realizados com essa temática. As crianças foram
orientadas quanto à confecção de jogos/materiais com o uso de materiais
alternativos ou reutilizados, bem como outras práticas de reutilização ou reuso de
alguns materiais. Observou-se maior conhecimento e reflexão sobre o tema ‘meio
ambiente’ por parte das crianças. As crianças conseguiram desenvolver
pensamentos reflexivos relacionados à preservação do meio ambiente. As crianças
sempre traziam questionamentos, interagiam diante das perguntas e sugestões
apresentadas e realizavam todas as atividades propostas.

Abstract:
This article discusses an extension project carried out in the outskirts of
Boa Vista-Roraima regarding the importance of caring for the environment and about
human relations with this environment through recreational activities for children in
grades 2 and 3, of the Municipal School Hilda Franco, in the Conjunto Cruviana. It
was proposed with this work to carry out informative and formative ludic activities
that sensitize the children participating in the project to care for the Environment;
show to children the need for a healthy relationship between the human being and
the environment (without being exploitative, depredatory and individualistic); to relate
to the Environment as a good for all; elaborate and make games that work on
environmental themes; and to establish accessible goals to be carried out by the
children, in their school and out-of-school routine. A survey and bibliographical
research was carried out, in search of data and studies on the themes to be worked
on in the project. A compilation of the materials on the theme and programming of
the activities carried out with the children was carried out, which may contribute to
other studies and projects being carried out with this theme. Children were instructed
in the making of games / materials with the use of alternative or reused materials,
as well as other reuse or reuse practices of some materials. There was greater
knowledge and reflection on the 'environment' theme of children. The children were
able to develop reflective thoughts related to the preservation of the environment.
The children always questioned, interacted with the questions and suggestions
presented and performed all the proposed activities.
