AS CONTRIBUIÇÕES DE ROSA CAGLIANI PARA A DANÇA EM JOÃO PESSOA – PB ENTRE AS DÉCADAS DE 1980 E 2000
Ciente da fundamental tarefa de se
guardar a memória e da crescente necessidade
de continuação dos estudos em história da
dança na Paraíba, atualmente escassos, este
trabalho visa pesquisar e relatar a trajetória e
o legado deixado pela bailarina, professora,
coreógrafa, gestora, diretora e produtora de
dança e teatro, Rosa Cagliani (1957-2008), que
atuou fortemente na cidade de João Pessoa
entre as décadas de 1980 e 2000. Rosa foi uma
das pessoas que mais influenciaram a dança
local, deixando grupos de Artes Cênicas ainda
atuantes e formando bailarinos que continuam
produzindo proficuamente no cenário da dança
da cidade (AMORIM, 2014).

Abstract:
Aware of the importance of
safeguarding memory and of the increasingly
necessity of the furtherance of dance history
studies in Paraíba, this study addresses Rosa
Cagliani’s life and work. Rosa was a dancer,
teacher, choreographer, administrator and
a producer of dance and theater. She was
instrumental to the development of the
Performing Arts in Paraíba working from 1980
to 2008. Rosa was very influential to the local
dance scene, creating groups of Performing
Arts and teaching individual dancers who still
act to this day in the dance scene of the city
(AMORIM, 2014).
