AS BASES BIOLÓGICAS DA VIOLÊNCIA PARA O CONTEXTO ESCOLAR
A violência é um problema que atinge todas as esferas da sociedade. No caso em específico da violência doméstica e especialmente da violência contra a mulher se tem o agravante de que os episódios de agressão se dão dentro de um ambiente privado. Em se levando em conta as particularidades da violência doméstica uma das formas de se procurar entende-la e combate-la é recorrer as bases biológicas da agressão. Em termos biológicos atos de agressão são verificados sobretudo em situações de estresse, nos quais presas e predadores, ou mesmo organismos de uma mesma espécie, buscam dar indícios de sua periculosidade para seus rivais a fim de evitarem sofrer danos físicos. Em termos de fisiologia animal, ao se sobreviver a um episódio de estresse os envolvidos formam memórias privilegiadas que os induzem a repetir os comportamentos que os livraram do estresse. Transpondo as bases da fisiologia do estresse animal para as situações de violência doméstica em humanos se verifica, por sua vez, que o mesmo mecanismo que fortalece o comportamento do agressor, leva as vítimas a se ver cada vez mais enredada na situação de violência. Dessa forma ao se pensar no papel do ambiente escolar na conscientização e combate à violência, a discussão com os estudantes sobre as bases biológicas da violência pode contribuir no mínimo de três formas: indicando que a violência é vivenciada de modo distinto por vítimas e agressores; apontando a urgência de se resolverem as questões de violência dentro do próprio lar; e por fim alertando para uma série de cuidados a serem tomados a fim de minimizar as chances de se tornar vítima de violência em relacionamentos afetivos.

Abstract:
Violence is a problem that affects all spheres of society. In the specific case of domestic violence and especially violence against women, the aggravating factor is that episodes of aggression take place within a private environment. Considering the particularities of domestic violence, one of the ways to try to understand and combat it is to resort to the biological bases of aggression. In biological terms, acts of aggression are verified above all in stressful situations, in which prey and predators, or even organisms of the same species, seek to give evidence of their dangeorness to their rivals in order to avoid suffering physical damage. In terms of animal physiology, when surviving an episode of stress, those involved form privileged memories that induce them to repeat the behaviors that freed them from stress. Transposing the bases of animal stress physiology to situations of domestic violence in humans, it is verified, in turn, that the same mechanism that strengthens the aggressor's behavior leads victims to find themselves increasingly entangled in the situation of violence. This way, when thinking about the role of the school environment in raising awareness and combating violence, the discussion with students about the biological bases of violence can contribute in at least three ways: indicating that violence is experienced differently by victims and aggressors; pointing out the urgency of resolving issues of violence within the home itself; and finally, warning about a series of precautions to be taken in order to minimize the chances of becoming a victim of violence in affective relationships.
