Abstract: This article proposes a reflection on art, taboos, silence, ethics, and culture related to the theme of suicide. The research uses art as a source to investigate both the collective imagination and subjectivity, as well as the most recent scientific data that support its use as a mental health tool. Art emerges as a sensitive form of knowledge capable of establishing subtle connections between thought, feeling, and the other, promoting encounters that go beyond everyday relationships and offering dialogues about the role of art in suicide prevention and postvention, in the creation of aesthetic environments, and in the appreciation of life. The text discusses the aesthetic intentionality of spaces linked to voluntary deaths, broadens the perception of the silence imposed on suicide, uses imagery to highlight the relevance of the topic in current times, and discusses the dilemmas between disagreement and respect. It values the therapeutic potential of artistic materiality and the need for an education for sensitivity in a time marked by an accelerated pace. By combining scientific data, images, music, and accounts of human experience, it describes how art, when guided by ethics and sensitivity, can alleviate suffering, create space for grief, responsible dialogue, and social transformation. It offers a gateway to the challenging dialogues surrounding the topic and the possibility of using all available tools to save lives and respect them in all their existential complexity.
