Abstract: In this chapter, the objective was to elaborate informative tables for the teaching of Botany related to the afforestation of the city of Araguaína, Tocantins. Searches were carried out on publications referring to afforestation in the city, readings of the official documents National Common Curricular Base, Curricular Document of Tocantins and recomposition matrix of the Natural Sciences and its technologies area followed by the elaboration of tables for the thematic unit Life and evolution, associated with the educational skills of the early years of elementary school and were specific bibliographies. The results showed the existence of few studies on afforestation in the city of Araguaína; the illustrative thematic tables showed the morphological aspects of the plants, as well as associations regarding the diversity and association of the plants with the other members of the environment, they present relevant information, which may elucidate and improve the teaching of Botany, in addition to arousing interest in learn more about the afforestation of neighborhoods, making people more aware of vegetation and, therefore, mitigating the effects of botanical blindness.
