APROXIMAÇÕES E VEREDAS: POÉTICAS DE ROSA E LINA
O artigo origina-se de uma inquietação acerca do processo criativo, retratando
uma reflexão de caráter teórico e prático 1 . Este artigo toma como tema a obra de
dois intelectuais modernos que atuaram em campos profissionais distintos e visa
investigar a construção de conexões interdisciplinares entre arquitetura e outras
áreas. Dessa forma, tangencia temas da literatura, história, geografia, filosofia e
sociologia. O foco da análise são duas obras exemplares: o romance Grande
Sertão Veredas (João Guimarães Rosa, 1956) e a Igreja do Espírito Santo do
Cerrado em Minas Gerais (Lina Bo Bardi com colaboração de André Vainer e
Marcelo Carvalho Ferraz, 1976). A primeira será mediada pelas releituras dos
textos de “Grandesertão.br: romance de formação do Brasil” (BOLLE, 2004) e “O
super-realismo de Guimarães Rosa (CANDIDO,2006). Já a segunda será
baseada nas releituras dos textos de Lina Bo Bardi publicados nas cinco primeiras
edições da revista Habitat (1950-1951) e na sua tese “Contribuição Propedêutica
do Ensino da Teoria da Arquitetura” (Bardi, 1957). A pesquisa que vem sendo
realizada visa construir uma análise comparativa metodológica, esboçada a partir
do tripé: Lina, Rosa e a questão do “vernacular” na arte e arquitetura modernas.

Abstract:
The article originates from an uneasiness about the creative process, portraying a
reflection of a theoretical and practical character. This article takes as its theme
the work of two modern intellectuals who acted in different professional fields and
aims to investigate the construction of interdisciplinary connections between
architecture and other areas. In this way, it touches themes of literature, history,
geography, philosophy, and sociology. The focus of the analysis is two exemplary
works: the novel Grande Sertão Veredas (João Guimarães Rosa, 1956) and the
Church of the Holy Spirit of the Cerrado in Minas Gerais (Lina Bo Bardi and team²,
1976). The first will be mediated by the re-reading of the texts of "Grandesertão.br:
a novel of formation of Brazil" (BOLLE, 2004) and "The super-realism of
Guimarães Rosa (CANDIDO, 2006). The second one will be based on the re-
reading of Lina Bo Bardi's texts published in the first five issues of Habitat (1950-
1951) and her thesis "Propaedeutic Contribution of Teaching Architecture Theory"
(Bardi, 1957). The research that is being carried out aims to construct a
comparative methodological analysis, outlined from the tripod: Lina, Rosa and the
question of "vernacular" in modern art and architecture.
