APROPRIAÇÕES, USOS E RESSIGNIFICAÇÃO DOS ESPAÇOS: ARTES E OFÍCIOS NA PRAÇA SETE NO HIPERCENTRO DE BELO HORIZONTE
O estudo analisa as distintas apropriações dos espaços da Praça Sete, no Hipercentro de Belo Horizonte, tomando como referência a produção dos distintos grupos que se apropriam dos seus quarteirões para exercer seus ofícios. Os espaços da Praça Sete abrigam no seu cotidiano artesãos, grupos de músicos, estátuas vivas e floristas que buscam obter algum ganho por meio da venda de sua produção. As supostas oposições entre o culto e o popular, entre o moderno e o tradicional são pensadas a partir da distinção estabelecida pela estética moderna entre arte e artesanato. No entanto, para compreender as práticas culturais é necessário pensar as relações e os cruzamentos entre a arte e o artesanato e não seus distanciamentos. Dessa forma, arte e artesanato, antes de qualquer categorização, são compreendidos como o trabalho de sujeitos que, com intenções diversas, produzem algo. Por meio de entrevistas e da observação das práticas culturais na Praça Sete, é possível pensar não somente a relação existente entre arte e artesanato na contemporaneidade, mas também as diferentes formas de apropriação e ressignificação do espaço urbano.

Abstract:
The study analyzes the different appropriations of the spaces of Praça Sete, in the Hipercentro of Belo Horizonte, taking as reference the production of the distinct groups that appropriate their blocks to exercise their trades. The spaces of Praça Sete house in their daily life artisans, groups of musicians, living statues and florists who seek to gain some through the sale of their production. The supposed oppositions between the cult and the popular, between the modern and the traditional are thought from the distinction established by the modern aesthetics between art and craft. However, to understand cultural practices it is necessary to think about the relations and crossings between art and crafts and not their distances. Thus, art and craft, before any categorization, are understood as the work of subjects who, with different intentions, produce something. Through interviews and observation of cultural practices in Praça Sete, it is possible to think not only about the relationship between art and craft in contemporary times, but also the different forms of appropriation and resignification of urban space.
