Abstract: Meaningful learning, which can be enhanced through the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education, has brought significant changes to the teaching-learning process, especially in Early Childhood Education. Based on Ausubel’s theory, this article presents a continuing education proposal developed from the perspectives of teachers at the Trem do Futuro Early Childhood Education Center, in Curitiba, Brazil, aiming to encourage innovative pedagogical practices mediated by ICT. The qualitative research was conducted between November and December 2024 and focused on identifying perceptions, challenges, and opportunities related to the use of ICT and meaningful learning. Based on the interview data, a training proposal was designed, grounded in meaning-making, engagement, and the integration of theory and practice. The results show that teachers acknowledge the benefits of connecting meaningful learning and ICT, although they also report barriers related to infrastructure and training. It is concluded that continuing education proposals based on solid theoretical frameworks can contribute to rethinking the teaching role and promoting critical use of technologies in Early Childhood Education.
