Abstract: The production of citrics is attacked for one of the most aggressive diseases: “leprosis”, which can be transmitted only by the Brevipalpus genus mite. For the management of this vector, many instantaneous control methods with the application of inputs has been tested. In the municipality of Palos Blancos, Alto Beni region, production commonly occurs in agroecological systems, therefore, in this experiment, we use different doses of sulphocalcic broth for the management of mite populations. In addition, we could identified and generally characterized the mite contains the infectious virus that causes leprosis. The results was effective for reducing mites to doses of 3L of broth in 20 liters of water and 2.5 L of broth in 20 L of water after two weeks of the third and last application. The purpose of the experiment was to offer an alternative to the conventional use of acaricides for the control of disease vectors, in this case, the use of sulphocalcic broth is part of the practices in organic agriculture, with which it can also be considered for agroecological systems.
