APLICAÇÃO DA MATRIZ FOFA COMO FERRAMENTA PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO RURAL SUSTENTAVEL DO MUNICÍPIO DE SANTA TEREZA DO OESTE - PARANÁ
A região oeste do Paraná é composta por municípios com forte base econômica voltada para a produção agrícola e atividades rurais, com cadeias agrícolas desenvolvidas. Neste estudo tem-se como objetivo diagnosticar as forças, as fraquezas, as ameaças e principalmente, as oportunidades do município de Santa Tereza do Oeste referente ao meio rural, amparado em metodologias participativas de pesquisa no município. A partir de ferramentas metodológicas de diagnóstico e planejamento participativo (Matriz FOFA), identificou-se a diversificação de produção e a localização geográfica favorável no município como fortaleza para o desenvolvimento rural e, a gestão das organizações e recursos públicos escassos na agricultura e a falta de sucessão familiar como fraquezas, o preço dos produtos e o custo logístico e dos insumos como grande ameaça e a infraestrutura interna boa, a qualidade de vida como oportunidades para um desenvolvimento rural sustentável de Santa Tereza do Oeste.

Abstract:
The western region of Paraná is composed of municipalities with a strong economic base focused on agricultural production and rural activities, with developed agricultural chains. The purpose prose of this study is to diagnose the strengths, weaknesses, threats and, especially, the opportunities of the municipality of Santa Tereza do Oeste regarding the rural environment, based on disciplinary methodologies of research in the municipality. The methodological tools of diagnosis and participatory planning (SWOT Matrix) identified the diversification of production and favorable geographical location in the municipality as a strength for rural development and the management of organizations and public resources scarce in agriculture and the lack of family succession as weaknesses, the price of products and logistical and input costs as a great threat and good internal infrastructure, quality of life as opportunities for a sustainable rural development of Santa Tereza do Oeste.
