APLICAÇÃO DA ESCALA DE AVALIAÇÃO DA IMAGEM POSTURAL EM INDIVÍDUOS COM DOENÇA DE PARKINSON (EAIP-DP): ESTUDO PILOTO
Introdução: Indivíduos com Doença
de Parkinson (DP) podem ter capacidade
perceptiva alterada sobre seu próprio corpo, o que
pode repercutir em uma percepção alterada da
imagem postural (IP). Objetivo: Aplicar a Escala
de Avaliação da Imagem Postural – Doença de
Parkinson (EAIP-DP) em indivíduos com DP de
modo a verificar a viabilidade do uso desta para
avaliar a IP nessa população. Metodologia:
Pesquisa exploratória, transversal, descritiva,
estudo piloto. Dez indivíduos com DP
responderam à EAIP-DP e ao questionário
“A Minha Imagem Corporal” (MIC), e foram
avaliados por fotogrametria pelo Software de
Avaliação Postural Computadorizada (SAPO)
nas posturas sagital direito e frontal. Foram
comparadas as respostas da EIAP-DP e os
resultados angulares do SAPO, classificando
as comparações em “semelhante” e “não
semelhante” em relação à posição da cabeça
no plano sagital e do tronco nos planos sagital e
frontal. Resultados: Dos indivíduos avaliados,
50% apresentaram alteração da IP, com
respostas “não semelhantes” em pelo menos
dois dos três aspectos avaliados, e 70% tiveram
percepção do nível médio de deformidade pela
EIAP-DP. Na MIC, os domínios negativos foram:
deslocar-se rapidamente (60%), dançar (80%),
jogar (60%), atratividade (60%), assustado
pela doença (80%) e pela incapacidade
(80%). Conclusão: A EAIP-DP demonstrou
viabilidade para avaliar a imagem postural na
DP, apresentando resultados coerentes com
a literatura, além de ser de fácil aplicação e
compreensão. Notou-se a necessidade de
ajustar a escala para melhorar a diferença
angular entre as imagens. São recomendadas
pesquisas futuras que contribuam para o ajuste
e validação da EAIP-DP.

Abstract:
Background: Individuals with
Parkinson Disease (PD) can have altered
perceptual capacity of their own bodies, which
may have repercussions on an altered perception
of postural image (PI). Objective: To apply the
Evaluation of Postural Image Scale – Parkinson
Disease (EPIS-PD) in individuals with PD, in
order to verify the feasibility of using it to assess
the PI in this population. Methods: Exploratory,
transversal, descriptive and pilot research. Ten individuals with PD responded both
the EPIS-PD and My Body Image Questionnaire (MBIQ); and were evaluated through
photogrammetry by Computerized Postural Evaluation Software (CPES) in both frontal
and right sagittal views. We compared the answers in the EPIS-PD and the angular
results in CPES, classifying the comparisons in “similar” or “not similar” to the position
of the head in the sagittal plane and trunk in both sagittal and frontal planes. Results:
Regarding the individuals assessed, 50% presented altered PI, with answers “not
similar” in at least two of three aspects assessed, and 70% had perception of moderate
deformity in EPIS-PD. In MBIQ, the negative domains were: move quickly (60%), to
dance (80%), to play (60%), attractiveness (60%), frightened by the disease (80%), and
by incapacity (80%). Conclusion: The EPIS-PD demonstrated viability to evaluate the
postural image in PD, presenting results consistent with the literature, besides being
easy to apply and understandable. We noted, though, the need to adjust the scale to
improve the angular difference between the images. We recommend future researches
that contribute to adjust and validate the EPIS-PD.
