ANOREXIA NERVOSA EM ESTUDANTES DE MEDICINA: UMA REVISÃO NARRATIVA
A anorexia nervosa (AN) é uma doença do espectro dos Transtornos Alimentares (TA). Dessa forma, visto a importância e dificuldade no manejo dos pacientes com NA, o objetivo deste estudo é estimar a prevalência de AN em estudantes de Medicina por meio da busca na literatura. Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa de literatura, descritivo e de caráter qualitativo. Ocorrerá por meio de levantamento bibliográfico nas bases de dados Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline) via PubMed e Embase. A prevalência de AN em estudantes de Medicina ainda não está clara, contudo, estudos apontam uma maior taxa entre esses indivíduos, principalmente entre as mulheres. Um estudo realizado em Porto Alegre analisou o comportamento alimentar de mulheres jovens, e apontou que 34,7% delas possuíam comportamento alimentar inadequado ou não usual. No momento, é possível afirmar que existe uma maior prevalência desse transtorno em estudantes de medicina, principalmente do sexo feminino. Contudo, a forma clínica, a gravidade da doença e a relação da AN com o meio exposto ainda é subentendida.

Abstract:
Anorexia nervosa (AN) is a disease on the Eating Disorders (ED) spectrum. Thus, given the importance and difficulty in the management of patients with AN, the objective of this study is to estimate the prevalence of AN in medical students by searching the literature. It is a narrative review of literature, descriptive and qualitative. It will take place through a bibliographic survey in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline) databases via PubMed and Embase. The prevalence of AN in medical students is still unclear, however, studies indicate a higher rate among these individuals, especially among women. A study carried out in Porto Alegre analyzed the eating behavior of young women and found that 34.7% of them had inappropriate or unusual eating behavior. At the moment, it is possible to affirm that there is a higher prevalence of this disorder in medical students, mainly female. However, the clinical form, the severity of the disease and the relationship of AN with the exposed environment is still unresolved.
